As the days get shorter, you’re probably finding yourself needing to train in the dark again. Temps are starting to drop, schedules are busy again and it feels like sleeping in just got a whole lot easier.

It’s natural for our bodies to adapt to seasons! But many of us still want to put the work in, no matter the motivations for training, and we need to get ready for the season we’re in.

🚧 remove barriers to your success this fall

🧠 get in the right mindset & don’t lose sight of your “why!”

💡 make sure all your reflective gear/ lights/ vests have fresh batteries and replace what’s broken if you haven’t used it in a while.

🛌 maintain your sleep hygiene and do your best to keep the same sleep/wake schedule…so…

⏰ set that alarm, and if you use your phone alarm, drop yourself a little note in it!

👯‍♀️ find friends! Meeting in chilly, dark mornings or evenings is easier with others.

🔄 switch it up- and hold the time. If you know your best chance of success is now midday workouts, and you can be flexible with your schedule, do it! But mark that time on your daily schedule so you stick to it.

🏆 celebrate little wins. A consistent week. A second off your 100. Feeling solid on a really hard workout!

🧱keep nailing the basic foundations of your training & make some small tweaks. Consistency will always follow!
